High-quality perovskite single crystals of a nanowire and nanoplate with controllable sizes have been synthesized in large amounts via a simple solution immersing method and tuning recrystallization time. Both nanowire and nanoplate single crystals exhibited excellent photodetector performance with an on/off ratio of about 10
2–10
3, two orders of magnitude higher than that of polycrystalline film-based devices. This work suggests the importance of improving orders in the solid state for high-performance devices and opens a door for applications of perovskites in novel optoelectronic integrated devices.
