A novel FeCl₃-catalyzed bis-Prins-cyclization of homoallylic aldehydes (I) and (IV) and the related ketone (VI) with aliphatic and aromatic aldehydes (II) is developed to give 2,6-dioxabicyclo[2.2.2]octanes in excellent endo-diastereoselectivity.
