On page 8922, B. Hua, N. Yan and co-workers report an approach developed for the selective deposition of secondary electrocatalysts in the porous anode of proton-conducting solid oxide fuel cells (PC-SOFC). This engineered anode shows better resistance to CO2, larger areas of triple-phase boundary and eventually enables a lower operating temperature using methane fuels.
