The BeO₄ isomers O—Be—O—O—O and the ozonide O—Be(O₃) are detected in the electronic triplet state following an Ar matrix isolation via deposition of laser evaporated Be and O₂ onto a cryogenic CsI window (1064 nm fundamental of Nd:YAG laser, 4 K, 0.5—1 h).
