Pb₆[B₄O₇(OH)₂]₃ is prepared by the hydrothermal reaction of a 1:2.4:0.8 molar mixture of PbO, H₃BO₃, and NaCl in Teflon pouches (autoclave, H₂O, 210 °C, 4 d; ≈85% yield based on Pb).
