Integration of organic electrochemical transistors (OECTs) and organic field effect transistors (OFETs) has been successfully realized with a total thickness of 2 μm toward an ultra-flexible electrophysiology array, as reported on page 9722 by T. Someya and co-workers. The electromyograms of a transgenic rat with laser stimulation are amplified on the muscles by OECTs, and they are multiplexed by OFETs for high resolution mapping. The sensor array is highly conformable to the surface and movement of muscles.
