The new UV nonlinear optical title material is prepared by solid state reaction of a stoichiometric mixture of PbO, MgO, H₂TeO₄·2H₂O, and NH₄H₂PO₄ (Pt plate, 400 °C for 20 h followed by 850 °C for 5 d).
