NaAg₂AsS₃·H₂O (I) and KAg₂AsS₃ (II) are prepared by surfactant-thermal (solvothermal) reaction of a 2:1:0.5:2 molar mixture of NaOH (KOH), Ag, As₂S₃, and S in N₂H₄·H₂O (or en for (II)) and PEG-400 (autoclave, 130 °C, 7 d, 95% and 98% yield of (I) and (II), resp.).
