Tungstophosphoric acid anchored on powdered diethylaminoethyl cellulose appears to be a useful acidic catalyst for the synthesis of dihydroquinazolinones via three-component reaction of isatoic anhydride with aryl aldehydes and amines (or ammonium carbonate).
