(Me₄N)₁₄H₂ [Ce^III(H₂O)₆]{ [Ce^IV₇Ce^III₃O₆ (OH)₆(CO₃)(H₂O)₁₁] [(P₂W₁₆O₅₉)] ₃}·41H₂O is obtained by coordination-driven self-assembly in aqueous solutions containing CeCl₃, isonicotinic acid, Na₁₂[P₂W₁₅O₅₆], and trace amounts of Na₂CO₃ at pH 4.5 (pH adjusted with NaOH, 60 °C, 1 h) followed by addition of Me₄NCl (slow evaporation, ≈7 d; 48% yield).
