A Series of [2+2] Schiff Base Macrocyclic Dinuclear ZnII Complexes with Rigid 1,2-Diamine and Flexible 1,8-Diamine Components
文摘
Eight [2+2] Schiff base macrocyclic dinuclear ZnII complexes, bearing extended dialdehydes (Cl-dialdehyde and Me-dialdehyde) with the same cyclohexyl pendant arm but different rigid 1,2-diamine and flexible 1,8-diamine components [diaminomaleonitrile, 1,2-diaminobenzene, and 1,2-bis(2-aminoethoxy)ethane] have been successfully constructed with use of the zinc ion template in the presence of different counterions. The use of different electron-withdrawing and electron-donating substituents (Cl, CH3) in 1a and 1b, respectively, leads to distinguishable spectral behavior of the corresponding Schiff base macrocyclic dinuclear ZnII complexes. The auxiliary-coordinated or -uncoordinated halide counterions (Cl, Br, I) in 2 and 3 result in varying structural characteristics.
