In article 1604253, X.-P. He, H.-Y. Wang, and co-workers describe supramolecular assembly between water-soluble 2D MoS2 and a peptide probe producing a 2D peptidosheet suited for the profiling of different carcinoma tissues over healthy tissues in clinical specimens. The dragon symbolizes the peptide ligand selective for CD47 on the surface of cancer tissues. The dragon is originally “hidden” in the 2D MoS2 materials, but once it detects cancer tissues, it is set free to shed light on the cancer, rather than normal tissues without CD47 expression, through releasing its fire (fluorescence).
