Novel GH29-A α-l-fucosidase (FpFucA) has been isolated and characterized. FpFucA prefers α-(1 → 4)-fucosidic bond in the hydrolysis of fucobiosides. FpFucA is able to transfucosylation onto alcohols, pNP glycosides, including pNPFuc.
