De novo transcriptome analysis of the Siberian apricot (Prunus sibirica L.) and search for potential SSR markers by 454 pyrosequencing

The results of transcriptome sequencing in the Siberian apricot were discussed first.

1,243,067 high-quality reads and 46,940 unigenes were obtained.

191 unigenes involved in biosynthesis and catabolism of fatty acids were identified.

7304 potential SSRs were identified and their tandem repeats were analyzed.

These data will be very useful for future research of these plants.
