Flat sheet and hollow fibre composite membranes were prepared with ZIF-8 and Pebax. ZIF-8 formed hydrogen bonds with PA chains, stabilizing the Pebax chain structure. ZIF-8 improved compaction/plasticization resistance for the Pebax membranes. Membranes had comparable performance with pure gas and mixed gas. The ZIF-8/Pebax coating mitigated the aging of the porous glassy PTMSP gutter layer.
