A 223Ra microgenerator was built using residual 227Ac from cyclotron-produced 225Ac. Following 225Ac decay, the residual 227Ac was processed into pure 223Ra. 227Ac and 227Th were recovered in high yield for a permanent supply of 223Ra. Clinically supplied and generator-produced 223Ra have equivalent in vivo distribution. Microdose column provides sufficient material for research use.
