C3G prevents TNF-α-induced NF-kB pathway activation in Caco-2 cells. C3G improves Caco-2 intracellular redox status altered by TNF-α. C3G, also without any kind of stimulus, increases Nrf2 pathway activation. C3G possesses anti-inflammatory properties through the inhibition of NF-kB signalling. C3G beneficial effects appear to be due to its ability to activate cellular protective responses modulated by Nrf2.
