A proteomic approach for rapid identification of Weissella species isolated from Korean fermented foods on MALDI-TOF MS supplemented with an in-house database
Weissella isolated from kimchi and jeotgal were identified by MALDI-TOF MS. Expansion of the bioTyper database improved identification performance of Weissella. Weissella isolates were identified at the species (83.7%) and genus levels (16.3%).
