In this paper, we describe in internal terms the kernel of the canonical homomorphism 蠁_G,2${蠁}_{G,2}$ of a semitopological group G   onto the T₂$T_2$-reflection T₂(G)$T_2(G)$ of G, which answers a problem of M. Tkachenko.
