This article discusses multiplexing fronthaul and backhaul over the same link. This article discusses three different proposals for multiplexing fronthaul and backhaul: i) physical layer multiplexing, ii) TDM and iii) packet based. The technology roadmap towards an integrated fronthaul and backhaul is also studied.
