Spectroscopic properties of Pr³⁺ doped Sr₁.₅Ca_0.5SiO₄ and Sr_0.5Ca_0.5TiO₃ host matrices have been investigated.

Judd–Ofelt intensity parameters were calculated using standard and modified Judd–Ofelt (JO) theory.

Radiative properties such as radiative transition probability (A_R), branching ratio (β_R) and radiative lifetime (τ_R) were also calculated.

High value of σ_e  , σ_e×Δλ_eff${\sigma }_e\times \mathrm{\Delta }{\lambda }_{\mathit{eff}}$ and σ_e × τ_R for prepared phosphor samples suggests its candidature as a good optical material.
