A new environmentally friendly and users health safe coating methodology was developed by 5% CH3COOH steam oxide layer formation and subsequent sequential heat treatments, which may be directed to future applications using distilled white vinegar, in order to reduce CO2 footprint. Empirical equations were developed by Multiple linear regression in order to describe the correlation among the mechanical properties and corrosion behavior, as a function of the processing parameters, which are the steam-process, ageing-retrogression-reaging temperatures. The EDS results helps to support chemical products formed on aluminium surface, described by the chemical equations proposed. These products have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, which may be applied to food packaging and biomaterials technology development.
