IEEE C37.118.2 and IEC 61850-90-5 standards are interpreted and implemented. An IEEE C37.118.2 to IEC 61850-90-5 gateway and protocol converter is developed. The implemented software library named Khorjin is developed using standard C libraries. The platform independent architecture of Khorjin library is described. The specifications of implemented mapping between the two protocols are presented.
