The CO2 absorption continuum is measured by CRDS in the 2.3 µm window. The achieved sensitivity and stability allow measurements at sub-atmospheric pressure. The absorption coefficient is on the order of 3×10−8 cm−1 amagat−2 near 4350 cm−1. A good agreement is obtained with previous results at much higher density (20 amagat).
