Large Faraday rotation in magnetophotonic crystals containing SiO2/ZrO2 matrix doped with CoFe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles

We model two kinds of magnetophotonic crystals (SiO2/TiO2 and SiO2/ZrO2).

We find the structure that gives rise to the large values of the Faraday rotation.

The MO responses increased as function of the concentration of magnetic nanoparticles.

We examine the influence of volume fraction on the optical and MO responses of transmission-type one-dimensional MPCs.
