Radiocesium distribution and fluxes in the typical Cryptomeria japonica forest at the late stage after the accident at Fukushima Dai-Ichi Nuclear Power Plant
Fukushima-derived radiocesium distribution in the typical forest ecosystem is studied. The major fraction of radiocesium has been found in soil and litter. In the tree biomass the major radiocesium fraction is associated with old foliage. Removal of initially deposited radiocesium from tree canopies has almost completed. Ranges of radiocesium fluxes in the forest ecosystem has been estimated.
