acidic due to the presence of an amide of

deoxy-l-
guluronic acid with glycine (l-GulNAcA6Gly), which has not been hitherto found in nature. The following structure of the disaccharide repeating unit of the polysaccharide was established using composition analysis along with 1D and
2D
