Scalable synthesis of hierarchical macropore-rich activated carbon microspheres assembled by carbon nanoparticles for high rate performance supercapacitors
A scalable approach is firstly used to prepare activated carbon microspheres (ACS). The ACS with a lot of macropores is assembled by carbon nanoparticles (CNPs). Micropores connected to macropores and large mesopores are created in the CNPs. The continuous micro/meso/macropore structure is beneficial to capacitor kinetics. The ACS shows high specific capacitances and superior rate performances.
