The present paper reports the in situ hydrothermal synthesis of a vanadium-containing silicalite-1 zeolite film on a tubular alumina support. In this process, metal-MFI zeolite forms at the surface and within the pores of a porous ceramic alumina support by nucleation and crystallization from a fluoride mixture containing vanadium and silica species. The structure and texture of the prepared composite were identified by XRD and SEM analysis. The presence of V+4 species in the silicalite-1 framework was confirmed by XRD, DSC and EPR studies.
