Bovine necrotic vulvovaginitis (BNVV) is a polymicrobial disease. Neutrophil recruitment to the necrotic vaginal lesions is impaired. There are significant differences in microbial composition between vulvovaginitis and BNVV lesions. Indicators of BNVV include Parvimonas, Porphyromonas, Veillonellaceae and Mycoplasma.
