Adsorption and growth of 4ATP on iodine modified Au(100) are studied by ECSTM First stage of ATP adsorption is characterized by one dimensional molecular growth along the [001] direction of the Au(100) substrate. Long and thin trenches between molecular lines that are present even after several layers of growth. Multilayer growth of the ATP molecules was observed. An asymmetrical process of the adsorption-desorption mechanism of the multilayer was observed.
