Acid-activated sepiolite supported nickel and potassium bimetallic catalysts for 1,6-hexanedinitrile hydrogenation. Nitric acid treatment increases silanol groups which efficiently improve nickel particles adsorption and dispersion. K-Ni/NASEP catalysts present high activity and selectivity to 6-aminocapronitrile and 1,6-hexanediamine. K-Ni/NASEP catalysts have a good industrial application prospect.
