Adsorption of E. coli and S. aureus onto magnetic Fe3O4 nanoparticles was evaluated. Fe3O4 nanoparticles are obtained by two approaches viz. bottom up and top down. Size dependent interaction was observed for Fe3O4 nanoparticles for the bacteria. Nanoparticles interaction with bacteria was evaluated using FT-IR, FESEM etc. Different adsorption kinetics and isotherm was assessed to find the best fit models.
