Layered reduced-order models for nonlinear aerodynamics and aeroelasticity

A layered reduced-order modeling approach is proposed to model unsteady aerodynamics. Both linear and nonlinear dynamics of aerodynamics are considered. Both quasi-steady and unsteady reduced-order models are proposed. Unsteady loads at different amplitudes and frequencies are predicted. Limit cycle oscillation behavior of a NACA64A010 airfoil is simulated.
