A product based on cinnamaldehyde and garlic oil (NE300) was tested in vitro and in dairy cows.
NE300 modified ruminal fermentation resulting in a reduction in methane production and a reduction in acetate molar proportions in vitro.
In vivo, NE300 tended to cause total rumen volatile concentrations to increase.
NE300 increased milk yield in multiparous cows after 2 weeks of supplementation.
