Paleoproterozoic juvenile crust formation and stabilisation in the south-eastern West African Craton (Ghana); New insights from U-Pb-Hf zircon data and geochemistry
New U-Pb-Hf data of igneous rocks from the Paleoproterozoic crust of northern Ghana. Juvenile crust production and reworking during ca. 300 Ma. Magmas derived from crustal (mafic + felsic) and enriched mantle sources. Three-step geodynamic evolution model ending with Eburnean orogeny. West African Craton made up of distinct crustal fragments amalgamated together.
