Biodentine and mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA) stimulate the expression of mineralization markers in vitro and in vivo after pulpotomy.

Interestingly, Biodentine staining was more intense in dental pulp compared with MTA, which indicates a higher induction of osteopontin in the milieu.

Our findings indicate that Biodentine might be advantageous in the long-term for conservative endodontic treatment.
