The accelerators significantly decreased the setting time of mineral trioxide aggregate (MTA).

The accelerators were biocompatible with human dental pulp stem cells.

MTA mixed with particular accelerators could be considered to be a favorable alternative for the clinical applications.

Nevertheless, the effects of accelerated MTA on dental pulp stem cells have never been studied extensively to verify the biocompatibility of different accelerants. Therefore, this study is significant.
