Impact of rainfall variability on the gender wage gap in Indian agriculture. Female and male agriculture wage respond positively to rainfall shocks. Female-to-male wage ratio positively related to rain shocks in rainfed rice systems. Demand for female labor changes more due to rain in rice systems, than male labor.
