Effects of changing farm management and farm structure on energy balance and energy-use efficiency—A case study of organic and conventional farming systems in southern Germany
Energy balances of organic and conventional agroforestry systems were presented. Agroforestry can reduce energy input and improve energy-use efficiency (EUE). Organic mixed farming systems had the highest EUE. Improved farm management increased EUE and maintained high yield performance.
