Ultrasound assisted high surface area α-Bi2O3-ZnO particles have been synthesized. α-Bi2O3-ZnO materials exhibits superior visible light induced dye photocatalysis. Ultrafast organic dye degradation kinetics achieved within 0.67 h of irradiation. α-Bi2O3-ZnO nanoparticles reveals excellent surface and optical properties.
