The impact of third order dispersion (TOD) on optical rogue waves is evaluated.

Achieved maximum peak power depends only on the absolute value of the TOD.

Achieved maximum peak power remained nearly constant when the TOD is less than 0.075.

Achieved maximum peak power increases gradually for TOD greater than 0.075.

Soliton collision is the generation mechanism of rogue waves for TOD less than 0.075.
