Thermal loads were found for varying reflectivity and insulation thickness using New HASP/ACLD-β.

Total cost per unit area of exterior wall was calculated.

Reflectivity has changeover values above which increasing insulation increases cooling loads.

Proposed optimal combination of surface reflectivity and insulation thickness for each region.

Thermal insulation is more effective in high-latitudes and high reflection is more effective in low-latitudes.
