Physiological and transcriptional responses to inorganic nutrition in a tropical Pacific strain of Alexandrium minutum: Implications for the saxitoxin genes and toxin production
详细信息    查看全文
文摘

Higher toxin was observed in A. minutum when grown in P-depleted, NO3-grown cultures or above-ambient NH4.

sxtA1 might not be involved in the STX biosynthesis pathway of the tropical Pacific A. minutum.

Expression of AmsxtI was induced only at P-depleted conditions.

AmsxtI is likely involved in P-recycling metabolism and simultaneously enhances PST production.
