Activated carbon was prepared from waste tea by H3PO4 activation. Carbons were prepared under nitrogen (NAC), air (AAC) and steam (SAC) atmosphere. AAC showed the largest BET surface area. SAC displayed the highest adsorption capacity for oxytetracycline.
