Surface relief accompanying formation of lamellar microstructure was investigated. There are single-tilt, regular and irregular terrace surface reliefs of γ lamellae. Formation of surface relief is mainly based on diffusional growth mechanism. Kink density and size control lateral growth and thus determine γ lamellar width.
