A new mathematical model for a novel frost-free ASHP system was developed. The performance of the system using R22, R407C and R134a were compared. The COP for R134a was 3.3 and 8.6% higher than that for R22 and R407C. R134a was more promised alternative than R407C to R22 for the novel system.
