Pure Ti TA2 and aluminum alloy 6061-T6 were joined via cold metal transfer—assisted magnetic field welding technique. The magnetic field improved the flowability and surface spreadability of the molten metal. The thickness of the interfacial layer was decreased from 10 μm to 5 μm under the applied of magnetic field. The maximum tensile shear strength of the joint was 4.105 KN and the joint fractured at Ti base metal.
