The main cardiotoxic fraction of the venom induced rapid and irreversible asystolia in isolated rat heart.

This fraction generated also ventricular fibrillation and tachycardia of the isolated rat heart.

Cardiotoxicity of the venom is likely associated with the venom secreted phospholipases A2.
