We fabricated a room temperature functioning, highly sensitive and flexible ammonia (NH3) gas sensor based on polyaniline (PANI). NH3 gas-sensing properties of the sensor are examined at room temperature in the range 5–1000 ppm. The observed response is linear for the range 5–1000 ppm, indicating PANI film based sensors are high potential candidates for NH3 gas detection. The bending of the sensor has no significant effect on its sensing performance, indicating good mechanical reliability.
